African Heritage Month Timeline
As part of African Heritage Month at Halifax Public Libraries, we were tasked with updating the African History & Culture display at the central branch. To highlight and educate the public on the achievements and contributions of African Nova Scotians, a timeline was created to reflect significant events starting at the year 1605 and continuing to the present day. In addition, key pieces of the Library’s African history collection were displayed as part of African Heritage Month and refreshed as needed. The timeless nature of the design will allow it to remain up throughout the year with items from the collection being changed periodically.
