Killam Properties is one of Canada’s largest rental landlords. The purpose of this campaign was to reach out to existing Killam residents, reward them for becoming brand advocates and generate social media buzz around the brand. One apartment in each region was put on Ebay and potential renters could bid on the apartments. If they won, their bid would be what they pay in rent per month for the first three months. Current renters were rewarded for sharing through social media channels by being entered into a secondary draw for some great prizes. The weekly reach on Facebook was over 200,000 unique visitors, up from an average of 351. And yes, the bidding started at $5! Sweet deal!
